About an hour later, I found myself walking back along Central to my apartment. The time alone to think had not settled my mind. It just seemed pointless to sit in the cold when it was obvious that no solution would present itself any time soon. “He’s just busy on his search for knowledge, as usual,” Crow said with a weak smile. She picked the sheets up off the bed and turned around to fold them on the floor. “She doesn’t exist…”
